The Red, The Blue, The Church

It seems as if, politically speaking, the shades of red and blue have become darker and darker in politics during the last few years. If we are honest, our country went crazy during the pandemic and the 2020 election season, revealing the reality of an increasingly divided nation. Unfortunately, both events also uncovered that a portion of the Church had lost sight of the things that should unify it and cause it to shine like stars in a dark world. Instead of unifying around Jesus and His Word, it seemed that much of the American Church divided itself along political lines. Since politics are as much an American pastime as baseball, and with another election cycle coming, we turn our attention to our faith and politics. I pray that this series will help us think, speak, act, and react with Christlikeness during this election cycle and beyond, leading to a unified church around Christ and His Word.
